I’m Kelly and Lady is my sweet Great Dane!

We founded Dane Good in 2022 with the goal of creating high-quality, handmade products designed to be enjoyed daily and shared with the people you love. Whether you’re treating yourself or finding the perfect gift, we’re so grateful for your support! A portion of every sale goes to a pet rescue organization, allowing us to not only share our creations with you but also give back to animals in need.

OUR MISSION is to create elegant, non-toxic products for you to enjoy and share without sacrificing luxury or sustainability. We’re committed to using clean, non-toxic ingredients and are always exploring new ways to craft exceptional products while reducing waste and refining our process. Dane Good has evolved so much since it began, and we owe that to YOU—our amazing community. Your feedback, support, and commitment to our success means the world to us.

Below, we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions:

PRODUCT INFO:
Our candles are crafted with the utmost care; all hand-poured by Kelly in small batches or made-to-order. We take pride in sourcing the best ingredients to bring you a beautiful product that’s also clean-burning and non-toxic. Our luxury coconut apricot crème wax comes from renewable sources and is also :
→ Vegan
→ Biodegradable
→ Gluten-free
→ Paraben-free
→ Phthalate-free
→ Skin-safe
Our fragrances are carefully selected and are free of mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, acute toxins and carcinogens.

DESIGNED TO REFILL + REPURPOSE:
All of our candles are designed for longevity and sustainability and can easily be refilled or repurposed! Here are some ideas for repurposing your jars:
→ Small planters / succulent pots
→ Drinking glasses
→ Coin holders
→ Desk or office supplies

*If you have a Dane Good vessel that we don’t sell anymore but you’d like refilled: reach out with the jar you have and we will make it happen! OR if you have another vessel that you’d like filled with a Dane Good candle, shoot Kelly an email: hello@danegood.com 

FRAGRANCES:
Looking for a candle with a more subtle scent?
Send us an email or a DM @danegoodllc and we can work with you to make sure your candle has the right fragrance load for your needs :) 

Interested in a custom scent? 
We’re all about it! If you’re interested in a blend of fragrances we offer, reach out via email with what you have in mind :) If you’re looking for a fragrance that we do not offer, shoot us an email and we’ll see what we can do.. we may require an additional fee and a quantity minimum for a special order but we’re always down to customize our candles for you. 

Can’t decide on a scent?!
Selecting a fragrance online can be challenging! our scent discovery set is a great option for smelling 5 scents before committing to a larger size.

We’re also now offering 1 free tea light sample with each order; just type your scent selection in the notes section at checkout and we’ll ship it with your order!

CANDLE CARE:

· Trim wicks to 1/8-1/4" before every burn to prevent soot and for a cleaner, longer burn.

· Keep lit for 1-2 hours on 1st burn for an even melt and to prevent tunneling.

· Burn 4 hours max at a time... want to keep it lit longer? → extinguish → let it cool → trim your wicks → relight!

· Never leave a lit candle unattended; only burn on flat, fire-resistant surfaces away from drafts, flowers, kids, pets, etc.

☆ WOOD WICKS:

· If flame is high and sooty: trim more.

· If flame is low and struggling: extinguish → use a tiny piece of paper towel to soak up some wax → relight.

☆ CANDLES WITH TOPPINGS: remove any toppings near wicks before lighting. As wax melts, remove any toppings that slide towards flame.

CUSTOM CANDLES:
The best way to place an order for a CUSTOM CANDLE is on our website; ordering via Instagram or Shop might not give you full customization options!

Photo requirements:
→ CLEAR PICTURE: not fuzzy, blurry or pixely.
→ CLOSE UP shot of subject.
→ LIMITED background noise.
→ NOTHING blocking the subject.

Design proofs:
Send Kelly an email after placing your order (hello@danegood.com) requesting a proof. Your 1st proof is included and each additional proof will be charged $5 (payments for additional proofs can be made via via emailed invoice or Venmo).

SHIPPING:
Turnaround time:
Non-custom orders are typically mailed out within 1-2 business days. Custom orders vary, depending on the items and quantity, BUT we are pretty speedy and typically get custom orders out within 2-3 days! Feel free to reach out and let us know what you’re planning to order and we can give you an accurate idea of when it’ll be heading to you.

Free shipping:
We offer free shipping on orders over $150! If your order qualifies but you'd like to receive it sooner than the free shipping speed, you still have the option to pay for faster shipping. 

SHIP HAPPENS:
Oh no! Your order was damaged during shipping…now what?!
Take LOTS of pics: shipping carriers require pictures of the outside packaging, inside packaging and the damaged products when we submit damage claims. Email your pics to hello@danegood.com. We’ll send out a replacement ASAP for you!
